Big girl bites.

So much fun, Olivia has started eating real food. We've done the rice cereal, oatmeal cereal, barley cereal, most of the pureed fruits and veggies, and her pincers are starting to work, so we are moving up. CHEERIOS.....yippee. Here is Olivia eating banana mush from her personal food musher. (Really a great invention until it must be cleaned) Next we have Olivia trying to get Cheerios, and finally a nice drink of water, super sideways. So far she really enjoys feeding herself. Of course I am totally biased, but when she eats the food, she puts it where her "teeth" are and it is soooo cute. She chews it up by gumming the food bits to death.

Sophie's Garden

Sophie has her own garden this year, Nan sent her some bulbs and we had bought some wildflower seeds to plant too. Here are some pictures of Sophie's gardening fun. I've also included a picture of a punishment she had a few days ago; weeding. I personally hate weeding, it is just horrible. For some reason, in New Mexico we have the most aggressive drought tolerant weeds ever. These suckers might as well be carrots for they grow at least ten times longer roots than leaves. So, we thought that a suitable punishment for a few naughty behaviors was weeding, one of the true evils of home ownership.

GGma & GGPa visit

GreatGrandma Midge and GreatGrandpa Bill visited us this last weekend on their way home from LHC, AZ. It was so nice to see them. Sophie had a great time reading books and playing with her GGparents. Olivia gave lots of smiles to them as well. We went to a craft fair on Saturday and got to meet with Monique and Karina.

See my teeth...

Tonight we had a little extra time after Sophie went to bed. Matt had just finished reading her a story and she was so happy, grinning and laughing (especially when I pull out the camera). Anyway, if you look closely you can see her two bottom teeth.

Caution: baby nudity.....Bathtime bubbles

I love giving Olivia a bath. She loves the water, especially splashing Mommy! The other night I filled the bath aka sink with bubbles and here is what ensued: Ohh, I like bubbles
This is lots of fun
Bubble goatee
Bubble hat. Yippee.

Poetry Recital

Yesterday Sophie had her poetry recital at school. She did a FANTASTIC JOB! In my opinion, she was one of only three kids you could actually understand. After the recital, at Mom's house, I took a couple of cute picks of the girls.
