Tonight we made some stuffed bell peppers. I always thought they were off our menu, because Matt hates peppers. But then yesterday, Matt and Dad were talking about how they like the way the meat tastes in the bell peppers. So....I decided to give it a try. Of course, I had to put a healthy spin on the whole operation. Sophie was a great sport and helped me out with the stuffing. Everyone enjoyed the peppers, even Olivia!

Our great-grandma visit
After visiting Nana, we went to Grandma Ortega's house to spend a little time with her. Grandma's heart seems to be doing well and she has recovered nicely from her latest heart surgery. We are all anxiously awaiting to see if Dad has the same heart defect because if he does not than we know it will not be passed onto me or Terri, and also not to our kids. Anyway, we had a great time seeing Grandma Ortega, and took her out to a nice lunch. (NO PICTURES!! oops)

After our Grandma time, we went to run errands around Santa Fe. And we ran into the Mullet Family. Even the little baby had a mullet...wow! I was considering calling Youth and Family Services, I'm pretty sure that cutting your kid hair like this is considered child abuse.

Can't Sleep
Why oh why can't women sleep? I was happily in bed by 9:30 tonight. And it is now 12:40, and I am wide awake. I finally got up so that I didn't wake Matt up. Maybe I'll bake something. I should go for a run, that way I don't have to when I wake up tomorrow morning. Nah, I'll just online window shop.
The sad thing is, I walk around in a daze most of the time, totally sleep deprived, bags under my eyes and all. Many women that I know, (moms especially) don't sleep well. Most of the women in my family have this problem, is it genetic or hormonal?
I wish I could sleep.
Ugh...does warm milk work?

Five strange facts game.
Okay, this one is easy, and fun...think of four strange facts, and one made up pseudo-fact. Post them on your blog. Your Friends and family try to guess what is the made up fact!
1. The average clothing size for women in America is size 14.
2. The first couple to be shown in bed together on prime time TV were Fred and Wilma Flintstone.
3. The next time you watch Harry Potter and the Chamber of secrets, keep an eye out for Gandalf the Grey. In one of the scenes in Dumbledore's office, a portrait of Gandalf the Grey is shown among the previous headmasters of Hogwarts.
4. Juniper is the only native plant found in all 50 states.
5. President Gerald Ford had a different name at birth: Leslie King.

Yummy
Olivia loves to eat, and as Terri said during their trip out, "she is an eating machine." I guess both of my girls are good eaters. I was actually eating my dinner when Olivia started to point and whimper, so I offered her some of my food. She ended up eating most of it. Here is Olivia enjoying her (my) noodles.
Right Now Tag...

This one is fun because it is spontaneous, not rehearsed, and real! I love real! So here goes, a splice of my life right now! Take a picture (NO cleaning up first!) of
1-laundry room,
2-kitchen sink,
3-open fridge,
4-a toilet,
5-favorite place in the house,
6-your bedroom,
7-what your kids are doing right now,
8-your closet,
9-favorite shoes,
10-self portrait

Happy after a nap.

I love when Olivia wakes up from a nap on her own, and then suddenly we hear her laughing and making random baby noises from her room. However, if she is woken-up by something (or someone...insert older sibling's name here), she is a horrible grump. Anyway, the self-awoken naps are priceless. Here is her self-awoken nap from this weekend. (Big juicy grin, happy eyes....)

Fun Memory Game
Here are the directions:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments. So let's have it! Don't be shy! What do you remember? Anything funny, embarrassing, silly...
