Review of HP&THBP

Last night Matt and I saw Harry Potter "6". It's a good thing book seven will be split into two movies, because it's tough to get 600+ pages of a story into 2 and a half hours. The movie felt rushed. Much of the "fluff" was taken out, but I found myself wanting more. On the plus side, the acting was much better. All of the kids did a great job, and I even warmed to Dumbledore's character toward the end of the movie. The lighthearted moments outweighed the dark undertones of the book. But, I still won't be taking Sophie to it. Overall, it is a fun show, and defiantly entertaining. If you are a HP fan, it's worth the price of a movie ticket.

4th of July Parade

Olivia's ready to go. (Thank goodness there is a parent handle.)
My little shinning star.

Along the parade route. This year we went in the opposite direction.

Post parade. I love the height difference.

General Olivia goofiness.

Olivia's can tower. Please note that the smallest can is on the bottom...what skill. I think she'll be an architect.

Um...I don't know how to explain this. She did use the potty but got stuck in the seat in the process.

Olivia's Stiches

Two days later...the day before the stiches came out.

These two are from the night we came home from the hospital. I figured a quick bath would help relax her from the trauma of being bound and laid upon by her mommy for half an hour!

Most of you know that about a month ago, Olivia had to get 8 stitches above her left eye. She fell off Mom's hearth and split her eyebrow. Pretty much every other person I know has a similar injury. She was a trooper, and screamed throughout the entire stitching procedure. The nurses wrapped her in a blanket like a mummy and then I laid on top of her. The nurse held her head still while the doctor stitched her up. He was quick! She did get a black eye, but I managed to only get blurry pictures of her with her boxer look.

Sophie's Birthday

Oops, talk about belated. Sophie's birthday was a little subdued this year, but she had a great time none the less. We ate her dinner at Mom & Dads (on Easter Sunday) and were able to celebrate with Aunt Sophie and Uncle Albert too.
Sitting in front of her loot, check out her grin.

Her ipod.

Opening Josephina

I'm not sure what she was thinking. She loves her Josephina doll andwon't let Olivia touch it. However shooting her in the head with the toy gun set Grandpa gave her is still fun. I love my kids!

Caution: potty nudity

So, I'm trying to update.... Here are some odd photos of our funny, wild, and intensely dramatic youngest child. Olivia is a pip in every sense of the word. She'll test every limit twenty times, then when you think you want to kill her, she'll grin her I'll get out of anything with this look grin and then hug and kiss you and say "I yuv yoo." ARGH!

Mid bath potty stop.

Check out her guns. This is what she does before launching down the slide.

Darth Olivia

Isn't this how you are supposed to wear a bike helmet?

I know I know....

Okay, I realize that I am over a month behind on blogging. Sorry! Things have been crazy. I've been working many more hours than the 75% I'm supposed too. I've been spending too much time working on our house or cleaning this house for potential showings. FYI: If you are looking to buy a house, please don't stand people up. Granted it is nice when the house is spotless, but it is such a huge emotional roller coaster to get the house all spic&span and then have the clients ditch us. I guess this is what it would feel like to get dumped the night before the prom.
Anywhoo...I had to take today off work (boo hoo me!) 'cause my sitter / best friend / mom and pretty much my rock right now decided to take off to go camping. I'm glad because they needed a break from the girls. So, I thought I ought to download the pictures from my camera. I had this one really beautiful shot of Olivia looking at the roses, and thought it would be breathtaking in black and white. Isn't she gorgeous?
Enough gushing over my little cutie-pie, I promise to be better about my blogging, and posting pictures of both my super cute girls.
