Sisters Playing

Sophie and Olivia have such a great relationship right now (I say this because eventually I expect fights....). Sophie is a great big sister, and loves to play with Olivia. Olivia can't keep her eyes off her big sister and laughs loudest at Sophie. I knew Sophie would be a great helper, and I am so glad that we gave her a little sis. Here are the two of them playing yesterday.

Thanks to...

Hey everybody,
I just wanted to say thanks to those of you who leave comments. I really appreciate knowing people are looking at the blog and that I'm not just wasting my time telling stories or uploading photos and videos. So, just a sincere thanks to you!

Sophie's Last day of Kindergarten

A Beautiful almost First Grader.
Proud papa and his two girls.
Proud mama and her two girls.
Last glance.
Jumping for joy. I don't have to pack a lunch for three months.

Can you believe it? I don't. Sophie's last day of Kindergarten is today. She is excited to go to the pool this summer and to become a first grader, but more so she is sad to leave Kindergarten. She told Grandma "I want to be in Kindergarten forever!" You know what, I'd like to be in Kindergarten forever too. Anyway, here are some pictures from this year and a few we took this morning.

Pincers

Olivia has become quite a good food eater. She is enjoying most everything she's tried so far. Here is a quick video of her eating bread. I love the sounds kids make when they are learning to eat.

Fun with the Cannons

On Friday night, we had the Cannons (Reed, Heidi and crew) over for dinner. We had such a nice time visiting with our "cannon-in-laws". Sophie and Maia even ended up designing a new house that was a combination of our two homes so that we could just open the garage doors and be connected. I hope that we get together more often!
P.S. This post is intended to make another Cannon, one who is a blood relative of mine very jealous.

Tree monkeys

On Mother's Day we had lunch with Mom and Dad, and afterward we went outside to play. Sophie wanted to climb up in the tree, so Matt helped her get up and down, and he playfully climbed up too (in flip-flops!). Olivia was safe inside of the back of Grandpa's carpeted pick-up. Here are some fun pictures from Sunday. I have to say, it was a great Mother's Day. I got to take a nap.

Big girl bites.

So much fun, Olivia has started eating real food. We've done the rice cereal, oatmeal cereal, barley cereal, most of the pureed fruits and veggies, and her pincers are starting to work, so we are moving up. CHEERIOS.....yippee. Here is Olivia eating banana mush from her personal food musher. (Really a great invention until it must be cleaned) Next we have Olivia trying to get Cheerios, and finally a nice drink of water, super sideways. So far she really enjoys feeding herself. Of course I am totally biased, but when she eats the food, she puts it where her "teeth" are and it is soooo cute. She chews it up by gumming the food bits to death.
