Today we decided to go to Belen and visit both of my Grandmas. The Hospice nurse told us that Nana (Grandma Concha) didn't have much time. She is becoming very dehydrated and not eating well. She is also continually asking the nurses to comb her hair and get her dressed because her husband and son Jack (both of whom died many years ago) are in her car waiting for her. We went to visit her today and she had a great time. She really perked up when she started playing with Olivia. Grandma enjoyed seeing Olivia giggle, and was dying to hold her. However, Grandma couldn't even hold her arm up to touch Olivia's face, let alone hold her. And anyone who knows Olivia knows she won't sit still for a second. Grandma also kept flirting with Matt and even asked him to sit on her bed (which he did). We all gave her a big hug and kiss when we left, praying that it is not the last time we'll see her.
After visiting Nana, we went to Grandma Ortega's house to spend a little time with her. Grandma's heart seems to be doing well and she has recovered nicely from her latest heart surgery. We are all anxiously awaiting to see if Dad has the same heart defect because if he does not than we know it will not be passed onto me or Terri, and also not to our kids. Anyway, we had a great time seeing Grandma Ortega, and took her out to a nice lunch. (NO PICTURES!! oops)

After our Grandma time, we went to run errands around Santa Fe. And we ran into the Mullet Family. Even the little baby had a mullet...wow! I was considering calling Youth and Family Services, I'm pretty sure that cutting your kid hair like this is considered child abuse.

What a nice picture of Nana. I am so glad that you got to visit her. I think that so sweet about grandpa and baby Jack.
Oh and the mullet family is so wrong, I am so glad you got a picture, even the baby!
We took some awesome picture at the concert last night... along the same lines.
